Recognized by The New York Times for her "tender and yearning solos" and New York Classical Review for her "reflective tone", Jas Ogiste is a New York City-based classical pianist and scholar.

Jas has worked with renowned musicians, including clarinetist David Krakauer, soprano Candice Hoyes, violist Jessica Meyer, pianists Christina and Michelle Naughton, and violinist Laurie Carney of the American String Quartet. Jas has been featured at Lincoln Center, the United Palace Theater, Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Music Center, the Harlem School of the Arts, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. As pianist with the Manhattan Quintet at the Manhattan School of Music, she was selected to join the Orchestra of St. Luke's Young Artist Program 2024, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's 2024-25 program, and was a finalist in the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition. Jas currently serves as a Staff Pianist for The Harlem Chamber Players and Sugar Hill Salon Chamber Music, positions she has held since 2022. She previously served as a Researcher for WQXR’s podcast, "Every Voice with Terrance McKnight".

Jas received her BM and BA from Oberlin College and Conservatory and her MM in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. For the 2026-27 academic year, Jas is a Harriet Hale Woolley Scholar and Artist-in-Residence at the Fondation des États-Unis in Paris for her project researching and performing works by composers of the African diaspora of classical music. She will be pursuing a Diplôme Supérieur at the École Normale de Musique de Paris “Alfred Cortot”, studying with Suzana Bartal.
