About the Series

Queen City Chamber Music brings exceptional chamber music to Charlotte through accessible, community-centered performances and educational experiences.

We believe classical music is for everyone and are committed to expanding access, engaging underserved communities, and nurturing the next generation of classical musicians, all in tandem with presenting incredible concerts.

Founded by the award-winning wind quintet, ZaRiah, Queen City Chamber Music grew from our belief that music enriches lives and creates belonging.

OUR STORY

Our mission is to make chamber music feel immediate, personal, and alive for today’s audience.

Why Chamber Music Matters

For a vibrant city with a growing arts scene, chamber music has so much to offer. It’s one of the most flexible forms of classical music—you can experience it almost anywhere, from a NoDa brewery or outdoor space to a recital hall or art gallery. The possibilities are endless, and the connections made through these experiences can last a lifetime.

Imagine grabbing a drink at a NoDa brewery while listening to a live string quartet, then sticking around to meet the musicians and other audience members. Or picture a concert in a beautiful recital hall, with a pre-concert conversation and cocktails afterward. These are more than just performances–they’re opportunities to experience music together, meet new people, and be part of a community.
